Collingwood’s Leigh Brown has accepted a reprimand and 45 points towards his future record for tripping Geelong's Matthew Stokes on Saturday night.

The MRP also reviewed contact between Sharrod Wellingham and umpire Shane McInerney during the three-quarter time break.  McInerney did not report the contact after the game and it was deemed by the panel that the Magpie was explaining a tackling situation.  The contact did not interfere with the umpire performing his duties and thus, the action was not demonstrative or threatening.??

Official MRP assessment of Brown’s incident??

The incident was assessed as reckless conduct (two points), low impact (one point) and body contact (one point). This is a total of four activation points, resulting in a classification of a Level One offence, drawing a reprimand and 80 demerit points towards his future record. A five-year good record reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 60 points towards his future record. An early plea reduces the penalty by 25 per cent to a reprimand and 45points towards his future record.
