Hawthorn resumed pre-season training on Monday, with three full training days continuing weekly for the next five weeks in preparation for the 2008 Nab Cup.

Working hard in the summer conditions the players are enjoying Waverly Park’s sensational surface.

The players are completing 9-12 sessions a week with a focus on running, skills and total body strength.

The Club's new draftees are involved in the full program and are impressing Box Hill coach Barry Mitchell.

Tim Clarke and Danny Jacobs are back in full training following an injury disrupted 2007 season.

Also joining the group this week are two AIS/AFL Academy players who are making the most of their opportunity to train with the Hawks.

Waverly Park training is open to the public Mondays and Fridays from 8.30. Friday 11 and 25 January are regional training dates.

The Hawks face the Swans at Aurora Stadium for Round 1 of the Nab Cup on Sunday 17 February. Tickets are available through Ticketmaster from Monday 14 January.
