After Hawthorn created an AFL record of 52,493 members in 2009, there is more discussion than ever on where Hawthorn will place on the 2010 membership ladder.
Most members will have an opinion on what figure they think the Club will achieve in 2010.
This is your chance to make your tip official.
If no correct entries are submitted, the member submitting the closest entry above the official membership number wins.

Submit your membership number
It’s very simple and will take you less than a minute. Email membershipnumber@hawthornfc.com.au with the following in the email body:
- Your 2010 membership ID
- A nickname (to be displayed publicly)
- Your full name
- Your final membership number tip^
Remember, this competition is exclusive to 2010 Hawthorn Football Club members.
If you are the first to tip a certain number it is yours and yours only. If your tip is already taken you will receive communication from the Club and an opportunity to tip again.

Before you rush to get your entry in, take a moment to read some brief statistics on Hawthorn’s membership tallies in recent history to assist your decision.
- The 2010 membership number as of Monday 1 February 2010 stands at 40,661
- The Club has set a target of 55,000 members
- The Club’s 2009 tally of 52,493 was made up of approximately 17,000 new members (those who weren’t a member in 2008)
- Tasmania’s membership tally in 2009 finished at 7 259. Currently in Tasmania, there are approximately 6 100 members

Terms and conditions
- Members can only submit one entry
- Once an entry has been submitted, it is final and cannot be updated
- Only financial members of the Hawthorn Football Club in 2010 are eligible to enter. If you have a membership account in arrears as at 30 June 2010, you are ineligible to win any prizes
- Entries close 5pm EST Friday 26 March 2010

- Hawthorn’s final membership tally will be released on membership.hawthornfc.com.au on 1 July 2010, with the winner to be announced shortly after
- Individual numbers can be taken by a maximum of one member on a first-in basis as received by the Hawthorn Football Club membership department. Once a number has been taken, members submitting an entry already occupied by another member will be contacted and asked to change their submission
- ‘Junior member’ means Hawthorn Football Club 2010 members who hold a junior membership type. Members must be under the age of 15 as at 1/1/2010
- Members are asked to submit a nickname when submitting their number. If a nickname is not provided ‘name withheld’ will be displayed. If a nickname is deemed inappropriate in any way by administration staff ‘name withheld’ will also be displayed
