Anthony Koutoufides and AngChristou have become owners/ managers of the new Souvlaki Hut in Templestone,The franchise court the eye of Kouta and he decided he wanted to be a part ofthe business. Kouta wanted a partner to help him make the souvlaki business thebest it could be, so he convinced Ang Christou to return form Greece and be apart of the business. Ang said ‘I couldn’t turn it down, I decided to leave theluxury of the Greek islands to come back and help my good mate Kouta out’.

The Souvlaki Hut has been areal hit, there are now 5 Huts in Victoriawith several more to be built. The Souvlaki Huts have been very popular due tothe great food and people that run the shop. The Souvlaki Hut is goingAustralian wide with a Hut being built in Queensland in about November.

When speaking to Kouta andAng about who runs what and how they feel about the shop we got some great answers. We asked Ang what’s some of the key points in making a business such as thesouvlaki hut successful he replied ‘You need to know the business inside out, like being the Greg Williams of the business, ‘the engine room’ also you haveto become familiar with what you are doing so that you can do it to the best ofyour abilities’ We found out the Ang did some training in  a local souvlaki shop just before startingthe Souvlaki Hut so he could become familiar with the whole setup. Whenspeaking about the roles of one another Ang said that he was in charge of theback of the house, and said Kouta occasionally pops his head in and helps outwhen he is there (jokingly).

My experience with thesouvlaki shop was that it is very well set out, clean, nice, colourful, valuefor money, people were very comforting and most of all the food was very delicious.

Ang and Kouta would like to thank John, Bill, Joe, Bruno, Pete and one another forgetting the business started and going.
