St Kilda Football Club is pleased to announce it has signed exciting youngster Jackson Ferguson as part of the NSW Player Scholarship Program.

The 189 cm youngster who last weekend represented NSW/ACT Under 16s in the match against Queensland at Carrara, joins 16 year old Josh Duncan, 15 year old Kane Murphy and 18 year old Blake McGrath as the Club’s NSW Scholarship holders.

Prior to taking up AFL football only four years ago, sports keen Jackson also participated soccer and cricket.

He played junior football with the Holroyd/Parramatta Goannas, where ex-Australian cricket captain Mark Taylor played some AFL in the early 90s.

16 year old Jackson is currently in Year 10 and attends Merrylands High School. He also plays for Pennant Hills Under 18s where he fills the CHB/CHF positions.

All scholarship players work closely with St Kilda’s development team, including Danny Sexton, Greg Hutchison and Danny Ryan.
