Staff from the St Kilda Football Club, along with team mascot Trevor, today participated in the community event ‘Party in the Park’ and managed to giveaway over 2,500 items of Club merchandise.
The event was organised to provide advice and information for families and children in the local Frankston area.
The Frankston City Council orchestrated the day and it turned out to be a great success with hundreds of people turning up, and a large majority of them visiting the Saints area to meet Trevor and score some goodies.
Scarfs, caps, stickers, puzzles, bottles and flags were all on the giveaway menu and by the end of the day there was a sea of Saints caps in the park.
Among the families were many St Kilda supporters, and several were thrilled with the Nick Riewoldt stickers and Lenny Hayes puzzles.
Trevor, who was accompanied by Frankston City Council mascot Finn, enjoyed playing footy with the kids and both joined in on some Zumba dances.
