As West Coast soar in to September this season for the first time in three years, the whole club has caught finals fever.

Nevertheless, the players are still making sure they kick goals off the field, visiting WA students with the Eagles Rock My School program.

Eagles Rock My School delivers positive messages about health, values, lifestyle and education through a two-part program with current West Coast players.

Players head to WA primary schools to conduct football or reading clinics and chat to students about the importance of healthy living.

The reading component of the program this year has been revamped with the addition of an interactive whiteboard (IWB) resource based around the children’s book ‘I Want To Be A Footballer'.

This resource means that players can read to a classroom full of students, with everyone able to see what’s on the page and complete interactive activities on the whiteboard throughout the session. Schools also receive a free copy of the book and related IWB material so they can continue to have fun with ‘I Want To Be A Footballer’ even after the players leave.

Thanks to the club’s principal community partner BHP Billiton, the Eagles Rock My School program is provided free to WA schools.
