As a dynamic and progressive AFL Club, we are seeking a skilled and dedicated IT manager who has the ability to work across all aspects of technology; hardware, software, data storage, telecommunications, security, audio visual systems and equipment. The incumbent will have the capacity to operate at a strategic level and advise the club of best practise, and also be able to work in a hands- on capacity and perform support and administration tasks.
Responsibilities
• Develop and implement an IT strategic plan taking into account best practise and trends in the industry
• Communicate this policy to users that is easily understood
• Negotiate software and hardware agreements on behalf of the club
• Responsible for all aspects of system and administration, including, maintenance of servers, email, security, databases, installation of software, maintenance of hardware, website access , internet and intranet
• Responsible for Cisco VOIP phone network, mobile phone and fax.
• Be able to provide excellent support and service to all users in the club with minimal down time
• The ability to support the Mac environment in the football department and utilise Vision Editing software as required.
• Support users of all Audio Visual equipment
• Provide IT support on game day in the coach’s box and provide information and manage all devices
Requirements
• At least 5 years experience in an IT support and administration role and some experience in a leadership role
• Experience with the following technologies:
o Mac OS X, Microsoft Windows XP, Windows 7, Windows 2003, Windows 2008
o Exchange 2003, OWA, Office 2007, iPhone email
o Sharepoint, Mac OS X Server
• Experience managing a Standard Operating Environment & corporate smart phone deployments
• An ability to think strategically about how IT can improve and enhance outcomes
• Experience creating and implementing IT policies
• A demonstrated commitment to providing excellent customer service to a wide range of users
• A talent for troubleshooting in order to solve problems with minimum disruption to the business
• Excellent communication and leadership qualities
• An ability to work successfully in a team and /or in an autonomous capacity.
