The Power could be without Danyle Pearce this week against Collingwood, with the young speedster needing to prove his fitness in time for the big clash at the MCG.

Pearce missed his first game on Saturday since making his AFL debut in Round 18 of 2005. The NAB Rising Star winner strained his hamstring in the win over the Kangaroos in Round 2 and was a late withdrawal from Saturday’s game.

He wasn’t expected to train on Monday afternoon but will need to prove his fitness on Wednesday when the Power trains from 3pm at Alberton Oval.

One player certain to be missing this week is ruckman Dean Brogan who was cleared of serious damage to his ankle but will still miss two weeks with a sprain.

Brogan was helped from the field in the second term of Saturday’s game. There was some concern his ankle was broken until x-rays on Sunday showed otherwise.

The Power’s injury list for the week beginning Monday 16 April is as follows...

Dean Brogan (ankle) – 2 weeks
Adam Cockshell (ankle) – test
Daniel Motlop (ankle) – 2 weeks
Danyle Pearce (hamstring) – test
