HAWTHORN coach Alastair Clarkson says the club’s long-term recruiting policy is likely to produce significant results this season.

Players such as Beau Muston, Beau Dowler, Xavier Ellis, Max Bailey and Mitch Thorp have undergone a full pre-season campaign and will put pressure on established players for a senior game.

In part one of a three-part exclusive interview on hawthornfc.com.au, Clarkson tells Jason Phelan that fans might have to be patient because clubs need experience and a history of success to land an elusive premiership.

Check back next week for part two and three when Clarkson explains how the return of Mark Williams from injury and the introduction of Port star Stuart Dew could make the side’s forward structure even more potent.
