FRIDAY night's top-of-the-table clash between Geelong and St Kilda has been moved to a 7:50pm start time to accommodate the live TV broadcast.

The opening bounce for the grand final rematch would normally have taken place at 7:40pm, but with Channel Seven deciding to show the game live against the gate, the start has been pushed back 10 minutes.

The Cats are top of the table with 10 wins, with the Saints in second with nine.

Both teams have been struck by injury, with the Saints losing superstar skipper Nick Riewoldt to a hamstring tendon injury early in the season, and the premiership-favourite Cats missing a handful of their best players at various times over the year.
