Carlton spearhead Brendan Fevola has been named in Carlton’s team to play St Kilda at the Dome on Saturday.

It was originally thought Fevola would miss up to 3 weeks with a strained thigh, but the Blues have named Fevola at full-forward.

“We had preliminary scans on Brendan’s thigh on Monday, which indicated he would miss up to three matches, but further examination tells us he is available for selection this week,” Carlton’s General Manager – Football Operations Steven Icke said.

New Carlton Coach Brett Ratten has made three changes to the side. The Blues have recalled Eddie Betts, Ryan Jackson and Jason Saddington, who were all named in the Northern Bullants’ best players in last week’s 112-point victory over North Ballarat.

Andrew Walker (shoulder – 1 week) and Josh Kennedy (hamstring – 2-3 weeks) will miss through injury while Adam Bentick has been omitted.

Veteran Matthew Lappin will play his 250th AFL Game. Matthew made his AFL debut for St Kilda in Round 12, 1994 and made his Carlton debut in Round 1, 1999; this will be his 195th Carlton game.
