Dane Swan donated his prize (a car) for winning The Age Footballer of the Year award to the N.I.C.K. Foundation

Collingwood premiership star Dane Swan showed his generous side earlier this week when he donated his prize for winning The Age Footballer of the Year award to the club’s sports science director David Buttifant and his daughter Emily.

Swan won a new car for his 2010 onfield efforts and passed it on to the Buttifants to help raise funds for the N. I. C. K. Foundation. ??Born of a desire to give parents and youth hope and instill belief in the future, the foundation was initiated after 20-year-old Nick Buttifant took his own life in February 2009.
