Defender Steven Dodd says the club has lost none of its confidence in the wake of losses to Collingwood and Hawthorn in the past fortnight.

Defeats at the hands of two of 2007's most impressive top four performers have done little to unsettle the playing group, with Steven saying the team was certain success was on its way.

“I know the win is just around the corner and we believe that internally,” Steven said.

“We aren’t losing the faith by any stretch of the imagination. We know that we have just got to keep doing the things right, sticking to our structures and a win is just around the corner.

“We have been disappointing the last couple of weeks but we’ve shown signs of improvement against quality sides and we haven’t been blown off the park so that’s the positives we need to take into next week.

“A lot of good sides have lost a game this year already. It’s not something we had planned but we put ourselves in this situation and it’s about how we go about getting ourselves out of it.”

Steven said the team was addressing how to better deliver the ball to the forward line to give the likes of Chris Tarrant and company better opportunity at winning possession in the forward line.

He said Fremantle’s disposal into the attacking 50 in recent weeks had made the going tough for the club’s key forwards, particularly Chris.

“He is a premier forward and a big part of our side,” Steven said of Chris.

“We need him playing well and we need to give him every opportunity to play well. I think we haven’t done that over the last couple of weeks with some delivery into the forward line.

“I think his work rate has been up there and been as good as any. I think we have let him down in that department and its something that, as a team, we need to get better at.”
