All eyes were on Todd Goldstein on Thursday as the young ruckman was forced to prove that he’d fully recovered from a calf injury.

The Kangaroos’ big-man trained well throughout the two-hour main session and did enough to be included in the side’s initial squad for its final match of the year.

It remains to be seen if coach Brad Scott will keep three talls in his final line-up on Friday afternoon with Hamish McIntosh and David Hale also named to take on Melbourne.

Goldstein injured his calf early in the match against St Kilda in round 20 and missed last week’s encounter with the Eagles as a result.

Defender Robbie Tarrant is also hoping to make his return to senior footy after spending a prolonged period on the sidelines with a broken thumb while Jamie Macmillan will be looking to take his AFL game tally to four.

Matt Campbell has also been named after a promising hit-out with the North Ballarat
Roosters in the VFL last week while Corey Jones will pull on the boots one last time.
