The third Australian Football International Cup will be staged in Warrnambool and Melbourne in August and September 2008.

Matches will be played in Melbourne at Royal Park in Parkville from Wednesday August 27, with teams in Geelong and Warrnambool from Saturday August 30 until Thursday September 4.

The Grand Final will be played at the MCG as a curtain raiser to one of the finals in week one of the Toyota AFL Finals Series

Australian Football is played by over 30,000 participants in over 30 countries around the world. Teams from 16 countries have now arrived in Melbourne.

Never before has the Cup hosted this many countries, with the event taking on greater significance this year as Australia celebrates the 150th birthday of its Indigenous game.
