A small handful of specialist travel agencies organise exclusive and outstanding travel experiences to all parts of planet earth. Their philosophy is “one size doesn’t fit all”.

We agree and that’s why the Tour de Kangaroo was launched two years ago.

The Tour is an annual boutique car adventure, designed to take you places off the tourist beaten track.

It’s a one of a kind annual event; we never go to the same place twice. In fact, you can’t buy a trip like this one anywhere else.

The 2006 Tour was an 8 day off-road car adventure from Mildura to Uluru, travelling through some of Australia’s most remote outback territory.

The Event was challenging, exhilarating and fascinating, but most of all, just plain fun for the 117 people who drove in a mixture of pre 1980 cars and 4WD Support Vehicles.

Sleeping under the stars in tents and swags, the week was superb, never to be forgotten, a terrific memory.

The 2007 Tour is going to be an amazing wilderness trip in Tasmania, starting with an overseas journey from Melbourne to Devonport on Friday evening July 27.

Arriving on the Island the next morning, you’ll spend the following week exploring out of the way places, ending up at Cradle Mountain Chateau on Saturday August 4.

You’ll drive tracks that will take you through spectacular wilderness with sensational scenery.

How about being the first group ever to sleep at the historic Highfield at Stanley, one of the first Van Diemans Land properties built in the early 1800’s.

Or a night at Corinna, a small village of 20 buildings, population 4, set in the world heritage listed Tarkine forest beside the wile Pieman River on Tassie’s west coast.

Another night at Fonthill, a working sheep station. In fact the fine wool which makes the Italian Zegna suits comes from this region.

We are going to explore the map of Tasmania, the place that was first settled by the aboriginal 35,000 years ago.

Breathe the rich convict heritage when you camp in barns, woolsheds, shearer’s quarters and historic ruins.

All meals are provided. Enjoy the unique local fare … seafood, game, farm produce and the fantastic cool climate beers and wines.

We have 5 car places left in this year’s Tour.

The Entry Fee for a Tour Car (manufactured pre 1980) is $4,500 (incl. gst). The Entry Fee for a 4WD is $3,400 (incl. gst).

Participants Entry Fee which covers all meals and camping fees is $1,125.00 (incl. gst).

Other than fuel, you’ll need to book your own return passage on the Spirit of Tasmania, for you and your vehicle, plus your final night’s accommodation on August 4 at Cradle Mountain Chateau.

“One size doesn’t fit all” … 2007 Tour de Kangaroo will live with you for the rest of your days.
