They've had to wait patiently on the sidelines as their teammates battled it out in the NAB Cup, so it's understandable that many of North's youngsters are raring to go for Saturday's clash between VFL combatants Werribee and North Ballarat.

Up to 18 North Melbourne listed players are set to take part in the match at Eureka Stadium and they will all be looking to prove a point with only two weeks until round one.

First round draft pick Ben Cunnington will be eased into things following his recovery from a stress reaction in his foot. The 18-year old will play his first competitive match since joining the club in November.

Fellow draftees Aaron Black, Ayden Kennedy, Brayden Norris, Jamie MacMillan and Matthew Scott will also be put to the test, while Majak Daw is sure to create some excitement among supporters as he lines up for the Tigers.

It's as a good chance as any to familiarize yourself with the Roos' stars of the future and find out who'll be pushing for spots in 2010.
