FREMANTLE'S raft of signings has continued with key defender Luke McPharlin agreeing to a new two-year deal.
The 28-year-old will hold even greater importance to the backline with Chris Tarrant expected to return to Victoria in next week's trade period.
McPharlin, who played 17 games this season to take his career tally to 168, joined Fremantle at the end of 2001.
His performance against spearhead Lance Franklin in the elimination final victory over Hawthorn was among his best for 2010.
McPharlin's commitment follows that of midfielder David Mundy and captain Matthew Pavlich, who have both signed for four years.
Last week, emerging ruckman Zac Clarke extended his contract until the end of 2013.
