Facing a lengthy spell on the sidelines is a difficult proposition for any player and in most situations, the chance to see some light at the end of the tunnel is what gets them through. Currently on the Kangaroos' injury list, there is a mixed bag; those who have just begun on the road to recovery and those who can see the light.

For one particular trio, that light is burning extremely bright.

Nathan Grima, Ben Ross and Aaron Black were out on Aegis Park early on Friday doing things which took many onlookers and even team-mates by surprise.

For the past few months, these athletes have been effectively wrapped in cotton wool, but all that has now changed.

Director of Medical Services & Player Pathways Steve Saunders, along with Director of Sports Science and Rehabilitation Peter Mulkearns stepped up the training regime and kangaroos.com.au was given an exclusive insight.
