One coach who seems to have his side peaking at the right time is Nathan whose team ‘albertproudftw’ has dislodged Adam’s ‘Spaceballs’ as the leader in the Lions’ Dream Team League.
‘Spaceballs’ had occupied top spot since Round 9 before Nathan’s Round 15 score of 2,383 knocked him back into second.
The overall winner at year’s end will receive a fantastic prize from the Club as well as bragging rights over the other 650 competitors.
One of the other big movers among the competitors was the Lions’ own Daniel Rich, who scored over 2,200 for the first time to edge past Joel Patfull as the best performed actual Lions player. ‘Richy’s Rockets’ moved up to 139th overall and are now eyeing off a top 100 finish.
Round 15 proved a big week for on-field scorers across the AFL - and it was no different at the Lions.
The usual suspects Jack Redden and Tom Rockliff continued their great form and were the team’s top two Dream Team scorers with 129 and 121 points respectively.
Redden is now the fourth best AFL Dream Team performer in the entire competition in terms of total points with 1,512 points - not bad for a young midfielder who won’t turn 21 until December this year.
Only Hawthorn’s Liam Shiels (1,560), the Western Bulldogs’ Matthew Boyd (1,587) and Carlton’s Marc Murphy (1,611) have accumulated more points so far in 2011.
Ash McGrath (102 points) and Matthew Leuenberger (100 points) also cracked the 100-point mark this week while Luke Power ranked fifth at the Lions with 96 points.
Congratulations also to Sam’s ‘Moving Pictures’ team whose Round 15 score of 2,390 was the biggest of any participant in the Lions’ Dream Team competition.
