IN HIS 300th game Glenn Archershowed just why he was honoured as Shinboner of the Century when he applied histrademark bump on the Bulldogs’ Daniel Giansiracusa, spoiled the mark, recovered,collected the loose ball and handballed it on to teammate Brent Harvey.

Not only did the play set-up a Kangaroos goal,it also earned him a nomination for this week’s AFL Army Award.

New to the 2007 season, the Army Award aimsto recognise and reward those one-percenter efforts such as game-breakingsmothers, tackles and shepherds.

At the end of the home and away season, theAFL All-Australian Selection Committee will shortlist the 22 weekly winningacts to six nominations, which will then be voted on by the public through afl.com.au.

The All-Australian selection committee will then endorse the winner.

In2007, the AFL Army Award winner will receive a $10,000 Army Experience. Theaward will be officially presented at the 2007 Coca-Cola All-Australianpresentation dinner.
