Simon Atkins' player summary from the match:

Teghan Henderson: Put himself in a position to be effective in the back half, but it wasn’t his best game.

Chris Grant: He played some big minutes which is a positive for Chris. He got his fair share of the footy which is what he needs at this stage.

Marty Pask: Has been very consistent over the past few weeks but couldn’t maintain that on the weekend.

Cameron Faulkner: Was beaten on the day but did some good hard things at different stages of the match.

Cameron Wight: Spent some time in the ruck and was able to win some of the footy.

Andrejs Everitt: Clearly best on ground. He was competitive all day and showed some really good signs.

Jarrod Young: Played as a tagger and kept his opponent to 10 possessions which was a victory.

Scott Howard: Was our top possession winner, but he needed to be more accountable.

Matthew Robbins: A fairly quiet day for someone of Matthew’s standards.

Wayde Skipper: Played in the ruck. While he didn’t have a massive influence he made the most of his possessions, kicking two goals.

Jake Furfaro: Had six tackles but wasn’t accountable enough on his direct opponent.

Dom Gleeson: Pretty honest performance had 22 possessions, competed well kicked a goal and had 8 tackles.

James Podsiadly: Earned his 4 goals and his forward pressure was good.

Jordan Barham: Did a lot of work but got little from it. He went down back in the second half.

Will Minson: Played in the ruck had 28 hitouts which was good, but needed a little bit more output around the ground.

Josh Hill: Finished with 17 possessions and he continues to develop.

Robbie Castello: Played on one of their key forwards who kicked three goals, was beaten on the day but he had a red hot go.

Brennan Stack: Had 16 possessions in what was his first senior game. Look forwards to his development.

Jackson Sheringham: He is very quick player and did well in his first senior game.

Brett Robinson: Had a good last quarter but needs to get into the game from the start.

Andrew McDougall: Played on the wing for some time and in various other positions.

Michael Rockefeller: Good again started well, we were reasonably happy with his game.

Werribee – Reserves by Steve Kretiuk

Paul O’Shea: He had a good game in defence, playing on their best forward and keeping him to two goals.

Tim Walsh: He started well and finished with two goals.

Damian McCormack: It was his second game back from injury. He had 28 possessions and is not far away from senior footy.

Gavin Hughes: Was a little disappointing on the day.

Travis Baird: He was best on ground. He played wing, midfield and half forward. His  work rate has lifted so he is having a bigger impact.

Stephen Tiller: Tried hard but had minimal impact due to poor disposal into the forward 50.

Michael West: He got injured in the third quarter but he was going ok at centre half back before that.
