The N.I.C.K. Foundation Players' second production ‘Lift Off’ will be performed March 4th & 5th at the Yarra Valley Christian Centre, Lower Plenty.

Collingwood players and their families have been strong supporters of the N.I.C.K. Foundation and will attend 'Lift Off', which will take the audience back to the 1980s where they can relive the music, fashion and memories of Cyndi Lauper, Blondie, Dexys Midnight Runners and many more.

The N.I.C.K. Foundation, a not for profit organisation, was initiated by three friends following the tragic loss of one of their sons. Nick Buttifant, a talented 20-year-old musician, was loved by many and took his life in February 2009.

The foundation was born from the desire to give parents and youth hope and instil belief in the future. Nick's passion for the arts inspired the formation of the N.I.C.K. Foundation Players.

“Not only do we hope the show will foster creativity, confidence and growth within the cast, but most of all provide a fun experience for all of those involved, including the audience," said Collingwood's sports science director David Buttifant, father of Nick Buttifant.

"We have been so proud of the passion the members of the Players have given to the show to date. It is shaping up to be an extremely entertaining performance, one which we hope all ages will enjoy."

“The Foundation stands for nurturing, independence, commitment and knowledge in our youth and through activities such as this, our hope is that the young people in the local area will grow to be independent and confident adults,” Buttifant added.

All profits from the show will go to the N.I.C.K Foundation.
