I would personally like to thank all the North Melbourne supporters who took the time out to join us at Arden Street on Monday for our special twilight training session.

When I initially thought of having a later session, I expected a good turn-out, but was overwhelmed by the amount of fans on the other side of the fence.

Our players received a massive boost by having you all there to watch them prepare for the 2010 season and I hope you enjoyed seeing them just as much.

At North Melbourne we’re trying to be more accessible and transparent to our supporters than ever before and one way of achieving this is by having later sessions so you can attend after work, school or other commitments.

Today I head to the USA for a two week study tour with an aim to learn and gain knowledge from leading sports people and teams.

My trip consists of an eight day stay at the US Winter Olympic Ski Program, a visit to the NHL’s Buffalo Sabres, and finally a few days with the NFL’s New England Patriots.

Upon my return, I will look to include a few more twilight training sessions and hope that we can continue to attract big crowds in front of our brand new facility.

2010 is approaching fast and your ongoing support is truly appreciated.

I wish you all the best for the festive season and hope to see you at Arden Street early in the new year.

Go Roos!
