West Coast is set to extend its reach throughout the globe with the commencement of a unique partnership with the Shanghai Eagles.

The Shanghai Eagles form part of the newly formed AFL China Spring League, which aims to encourage the Chinese and Australian ex-pat communities to get involved with AFL.West Coast will be supplying the Shanghai Eagles with gear and materials that will assist the league in their efforts to grow the game and expose the fans of tomorrow to our club.

Getting the partnership off to a great start, the Shanghai Eagles began the season by taking down the West Shanghai Dockers with a 33 point victory.In true derby form the match was a tough contest, but the Shanghai Eagles hope the emphasis on having fun will encourage more participants to have a go and join in the future.

The relationship looks to strengthen the West Coast Eagles' commitment to reaching fans around the globe, with the strong support of the club’s passionate overseas fans evident on the Mark your Eagles Territory map, which can be viewed in the Global Fan Zone.
