Maric returned to the Crows side for Showdown XXXI, his first AFL game since playing against Port in round four.
Playing up forward and in the ruck, Maric had nine disposals, four marks, 17 hitouts and kicked an important goal in the last quarter.
Speaking with host Patrick Dangerfield, Maric said spending time in the SANFL with Port Adelaide and watching the team from the sidelines helped his development as a key forward.
“It’s great for my career and for my development and it’s going to be important for my future,” Maric said. “I love going up forward and I believe I can do a pretty good job up there.”
“I’ve been able to play there a fair bit at the Magpies, and obviously being out of the side I’ve been able to watch a lot of guys, like Tippo, and the way they go about it, so it’s been good for me.”
Along with the other hot topics of the week, the podcast panel speaks with Maric about the locker room shenanigans and his love of pranking teammates.
“There’s always a hidden message in everything I do and the way I go about life, and pranks are a part of life,” he said.
