Adelaide has agreed to a trade with Fremantle for ruckman Jonathon Griffin on the final day of trade week.
Adelaide will receive pick 61 from Fremantle in exchange for Griffin. Adelaide now has pick 14 and 61 to use in the national draft in November.
General Manager of Football Operations Phil Harper said that the club was disappointed it was losing Griffin but understood his reasons for wanting to return to Perth.
"You never want to lose some like Jonathon and we ideally would have liked him to stay, but we recognise that it is best for him to return to his home state."
"Jonathon was an important part of our ruck department, and we thank him for his contribution to the football club and wish him all the best at Fremantle."
