Family Day isn't anything new for Brent Harvey - in fact this Saturday will be his 17th since joining North Melbourne in 1995.

This time around though, the day will have a greater significance with his now fiancé Shayne in attendance just weeks out from the expected birth to their third child.

"My kids never miss a Family Day and have been counting down the days until Saturday, and it'll be the first Family Day for another of the Harvey clan," Harvey said.

Aegis Park will be turned into a kids entertainment precinct for Christmas on Arden Street with more emphasis on the children this year. A jumping castle, Thomas the Tank, a Jurassic Adventure, Cup and Saucer rides, free Slurpees from 7-Eleven, a giant slide, animal farm, face painting and balloonists will provide plenty of smiles. But there’s one special guest not on the playing list that is set to steal the spotlight.

"I hear Bob the Builder is making an appearance this year, so I'm sure some of the younger players will be taking a place on the lawn ready for that," captain Brent Harvey joked.

North Melbourne mascot Kanga will be also be hopping around, while Santa will take a break from his busy schedule to greet all the kids.

"It's always a fantastic day and the players love meeting all the fans that support us so passionately throughout the year."

Please note: Parking around Aegis Park is limited. Public transport is recommended for those supporters arriving late.
