One of Adelaide’s gala events of the year, Power Goes Movies sponsored by SsangYong, is officially sold out!

With more than 1,100 people booked in to attend Friday night’s black-tie extravaganza, the Port Adelaide Football Club has been forced to close its books and its online booking system, which has proven to be particularly popular.

Power Goes Movies is the fourth in the ‘Power Goes…’ series, with the previous events - Power Goes Broadway, Power Goes Vegas and Power Goes Rio - all memorable nights.

This year’s event is shaping up as the best ever. There is a range of fantastic auction items, wonderful entertainment including Rachel Beck and Peter Cousens, along with a couple of special entertainment surprises, something the event has become known for.

A range of Power players including the face of the event Chad Cornes (who posed as Rocky Balboa and James Bond to promote the night), captain Warren Tredrea and vice-captains Brendon Lade and Shaun Burgoyne, will all be in attendance, as will Power coach Mark Williams and wife Pauline.

In a first for the Power Goes events, one lucky person will also be driving away with a SsangYong Actyon, which will be awarded to the winner of the main lottery on the night.

The night will kick off in true Hollywood movie style with a red carpet entrance. Some of the food will also fit the movie theme with popcorn and choc-tops on the menu!
