ST KILDA defender Zac Dawson looks set to miss Friday night's clash with Fremantle at Etihad Stadium after he was cited by the match review panel for striking Gold Coast ruckman Josh Fraser.

The contact, which occurred after Fraser had taken a mark during the final quarter, was assessed as high, reckless and of low impact.

It initially attracted a one-game ban, but Dawson's poor recent record saw the penalty increased to two matches.

If Dawson lodges an early guilty plea he can have the suspension reduced back to one match.

Fremantle's Dylan Roberton attracted a one-game ban for a high strike on Hawthorn's Xavier Ellis.

However, Roberton can escape with a reprimand if he lodges an early guilty plea.

North Melbourne's Jack Ziebell, Western Bulldogs defender Tom Williams, Adelaide forward Chris Knights and Port Adelaide's Cameron O'Shea were also offered reprimands.

Ziebell was cited for striking Carlton midfielder Kade Simpson and Williams was booked for tripping West Coast's Mark LeCras.

In the two incidents that arose from the Showdown, Knights was cited for rough conduct against Port Adelaide's Brett Ebert, while O'Shea was booked for striking Adelaide's David Mackay.

Geelong star Paul Chapman was cleared of any wrongdoing despite his fracas with Melbourne's Lynden Dunn being looked at by the match review panel.
