Spelly: Hi Daniel, welcome to the chat site. Do you think you will be selected in the team this week?

Daniel Wulf: No, I’m still injured and I’ll need to get back through Springvale.

riccardo: How is the vibe at the Club after the big win on the weekend?

Daniel Wulf: It's real good, it's positive at the moment. We’ve got a few injuries, but if we get over the line against Port, we'll be 7-5. If we get that win on the board, we'll be set up well for after the break.

mattys_gal: Who will be in the Ruck for us this weekend? Goose?

Daniel Wulf: I think Chris Oliver will get a chance this week; he played well for Springvale last week.

riccardo: Who did you barrack for as a kid?

Daniel Wulf: I was a one-eyed Essendon supporter.

Premiers2003: What do you think are your strengths and weaknesses?

Daniel Wulf: I suppose my weaknesses are probably staying confident and positive in what I’m doing. My strengths are probably my marking and pace.

Premiers2003: What do you do in your spare time away from footy? Do you have a job or study?

Daniel Wulf: I’ve done a Personal Trainer course and now I’m working in a gym one day a week.

LennysGal: How has the Club reacted to the devastating news about Knobel? Do you think he'll be poorly missed?

Daniel Wulf: Trent got his chance two weeks ago and showed he can play good footy. We will miss him because we are struggling with ruckmen now.

Guest22022: How long before you are recovered from injury to have a run with Springvale?

Daniel Wulf: I’ll play with Springvale this week, and then hopefully get back in to the senior side for the second half of the season.

LennysGal: What do you think is a realistic guess to where we'll finish on the ladder?

Daniel Wulf: I suppose you play footy to play finals’, so anywhere in the top 8 would be a buzz.

Premiers2003: Who did you look up to when you were growing up?

Daniel Wulf: Because I was an Essendon supporter when I was about 5 or 6, I looked up to Timmy Watson.

Premiers2003: Who’s been your biggest influence in your career so far?

Daniel Wulf: I suppose my Mum! - just driving me around when I was a kid and taking me to training after work. If it wasn't for her I wouldn't be where I am now.

LennysGal: When did you start playing footy? Did you always want to play AFL football?

Daniel Wulf: I always wanted to play football; I started with the midgets in under 8’s.

Premiers2003: What do you like most about Grant Thomas' coaching style?

Daniel Wulf: For me, the most promising thing about his style is his positive outlook, he always looks for the positives no matter what the situation.

lenny_rox: Hey Daniel, what is the hardest thing about playing AFL?

Daniel Wulf: I suppose getting injured and missing out on playing footy, and the losses.

riccardo: What do you, as a player, think of the Telstra Dome surface?

Daniel Wulf: I haven't played there since about Round 3, but I’ve always liked the surface. I think it's been a bit slippery lately though, and hard underfoot.

LennysGal: Who has been your toughest opponent?

Daniel Wulf: In my first game of footy I played in Brisbane and got chucked on Daniel Bradshaw after he'd already kicked 4 goals. He only kicked another 2 on me, but I was ******** (censored) myself!

go_sainters: Do you think that we'll be in the finals’ this year with all the injuries we have?

Daniel Wulf: Yes, of course we can. Most of the injuries are short term, so we'll get a lot back after the break; we should be right after that.

LoZziE: What is your favourite TV show?

Daniel Wulf: I wouldn't have a clue! Saints TV?!

lenny_rox: What do you enjoy most about playing AFL?

Daniel Wulf: Having a win and just doing a job you actually love doing. It’s a dream job, and spending time with your team mates who are all mates.

LoZziE: Do you think Saint Scared is funny?

Daniel Wulf: They are stupid! No, it's funny and they are the characters of the Club, they just do that all the time.

LoZziE: What team did you play for before you became an AFL footballer?

Daniel Wulf: I lived in Endeavour Hills and played all my junior footy with them, then played at the Dandenong Stingrays, then at Western Bulldogs for one year after I got drafted.

lenny_rox: Will the team get any time off over the break?

Daniel Wulf: We actually get next Thursday to Sunday off - 4 days.

LennysGal: What is your opinion on the rotating captain policy? Do you think Hamill should remain the captain? If not, who do you think will captain the side next year?

Daniel Wulf: There's a feeling that it might not continue because Aaron Hamill is doing such a great job, but if it does, then I reckon Lenny Hayes would get the job.

riccardo: How is Andrew Thompson after his injury? Do the boys give him a hard time about it?

Daniel Wulf: We gave him a hard time about it the day after ... before we found out that he had to go to hospital! He came down to the Club today for the first time.

blondes: What sort of car do you have?

Daniel Wulf: VS Holden Statesman.

blondes: What’s your favourite ground to play on?

Daniel Wulf: I love Telstra Dome when the roof is closed and it's raining outside!

riccardo: What is your preferred position on the ground?

Daniel Wulf: I’d love to play on the wing, but Grant Thomas rates me as a utility ... as long as I get a game it doesn't bother me.

riccardo: What is your favourite/least favourite training drill?

Daniel Wulf: Least favourite is just pre-season as a whole - the running in hot weather, and the favourite is having shots at goal!

Premiers2003: After you’re fully recovered from injury, what’s one part of your footy that you would like to improve on?

Daniel Wulf: I suppose when I get an opportunity in front of goal, that I put them straight through the middle, and playing consistent footy.

Premiers2003: What’s one thing that sticks out in your mind when you first came to St Kilda?

Daniel Wulf: I came to St Kilda four years ago, and even though I barracked for Essendon, I looked up to guys like Harvs and Loewey. So that was great, and also Tim Watson was coach then, and he was my idol as a kid.

saintsgal: Where do you see the Club in the next three years?

Daniel Wulf: I reckon we're hoping to win a Premiership, and consistently be in the top 4 or 5 sides in the AFL.

Daniel Wulf: Thanks everyone for coming to the chat site. Stick with the Saints because we are going places! See ya!
