Former Fremantle ruckman and key position player Justin Longmuir has accepted a ruck and development coaching role at the club.
A veteran of 139 games with Fremantle between 1999 and 2007, Longmuir has worked as a recruiting officer at the club for the past two years.
Longmuir takes over the ruck coaching duties from Earl Spalding, who, due to business and family commitments, has had to forgo the role.
“In addition to his responsibilities as ruck coach, Justin will undertake a development role with our key position players,” said general manager of football operations Chris Bond.
“He is a welcome addition to our coaching team and is ideally positioned to perform in this role. The club is grateful to Earl for his invaluable contribution as our ruck coach and we wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
