WEST Coast forward Ben McKinley has asked to be traded to his native Victoria in next month's exchange period.
McKinley, 23, has kicked 89 goals from 46 games since his 2007 AFL debut, but was limited to just 10 appearances this year.
He was the Eagles' leading goalkicker in a disappointing 2008 season, which included his career-best haul of seven goals against Essendon, the club he supported as a youngster.
McKinley was initially expected to be recruited by the Bombers, and TV media captured his mixed emotions when West Coast swooped with its second-round selection (No.29 overall) in the 2005 NAB AFL Draft.
The player taken with the Eagles' next pick in that draft, key defender Matt Spangher, has also requested a trade.
However, the club confirmed that rookie-listed midfielder Jarrad Oakley-Nicholls has been offered another contract.
Oakley-Nicholls, a former first-round draft pick, played 13 games for Richmond before joining West Coast at the end of 2009.
