COLLINGWOOD has made one change to its named side ahead of Saturday night's clash with St Kilda at the MCG.

Midfielder Sharrod Wellingham, who started 2008 on the rookie list, has been recalled despite his omission in Thursday's selections.

He replaces half-back Danny Stanley, who was poised to play his first game since round four.

St Kilda has stuck with its named 22 for a match that could have a significant bearing on whether either side qualifies for September.

Both have had emotional weeks with St Kilda great Robert Harvey announcing that he will retire at the end of the season and Magpies Alan Didak and Heath Shaw suspended by the club for the rest of the year.

The Magpies recognised the career of defender James Clement with a lap of honour before the first bounce.

Clement retired at the end of the 2007 season, with club president Eddie McGuire deeming him "one of Collingwood’s greatest champions and one of the finest defenders of his generation."
