Kieren Jack's soccer goal in the first quarter of Friday night's game against Carlton has been awarded the SwansTV Play of the Day for round six.
In wet conditions at the SCG, ruckman Mike Pyke did well to pick the ball up with Carlton defender Michael Jamison hot on his tail, turn and get a handpass towards Jack.
Jack initially fumbled the ball, which arrived to him on the half-volley, and then he sent the ball goalwards with a swift left foot kick out of the air from just inside the 50 metre arc.
Jack was able to get the ball to swerve nicely through the air, and just sneak inside the left hand goal post for the Swans third goal of the night.
Jarred Moore's spectacular mark in front of the O'Reilly stand in the first quarter was unlucky not to be awarded, but will be in line for an AFL nomination this week.
