CTV > Watch highlights of Paul's season as CTV speaks to him about the honour

Paul Medhurst has been acknowledged for his brilliant season after being awarded All-Australian honours in his second year at the club.

The former Fremantle forward backed up a strong 2007 season with an All-Australian one this year.  He finished his home-and-away season with 48 goals, 284 kicks and 165 marks.

The 26-year-old is Collingwood’s first All-Australian since Alan Didak in 2006.

The Magpies picked up Medhurst and pick eight (Ben Reid) in a trade which sent Chris Tarrant to Fremantle.

Medhurst was awarded with his consistent play earlier this year when he signed a two-year extension keeping him at the club until 2010.
