There were plenty of famous faces at Sydney Swans headquarters on Wednesday evening, as the team celebrated Christmas with the Swans' ambassadors.

Guests at the event included Ian 'Dicko' Dickson, the Delezio family, actors David Wenham and Les Hill, and media personalities Kylie Gillies and Adam Spencer.

Senior coach Paul Roos and Club Chairman Richard Colless welcomed the guests, thanking them for their support throughout the 2009 season and giving them the inside word on the 2010 team.

The "ambassadors'' are a diverse group of people, many of them in the public eye, who are avid supporters of the Swans and have been chosen by the club to play an informal role in spreading the word about their passion for the red and white.

Roos introduced recently drafted youngsters Lewis Jetta and Gary Rohan to the crowd, as well as new recruits Ben McGlynn and Josh Kennedy, generating excitement amongst the crowd about the new-look Swans team.

More familiar faces in Jude Bolton, Kieren Jack, Jarrad McVeigh and Adam Goodes presented the inaugural ambassador awards to four very worthy recipients.

John Mangos, recipient of the Michael O'Loughlin award, was recognised for his commitment to the Club spanning decades.

The best and fairest award was presented to Adam Spencer for his willingness to go above and beyond for the Swans' cause.

Recently appointed ambassador, 'Chaser' Craig Reucassel, received the rising star award for his active involvement with the Club throughout the year.

The final award, the national draft award, went to social media fan Melissa Doyle, who spreads Swans' news far and wide on Twitter each week.
