Fremantle has resisted the temptation to recall Rhys Palmer to the line up this weekend but have included Ryan Murphy and Paul Duffield in the starting 22 to face Port Adelaide on Sunday afternoon at AAMI Stadium.

After naming Rhys, 19, on an extended bench yesterday the club opted to give the talented youngster another week off following his omission from last week’s team that defeated Melbourne. He missed the match against the Demons at Subiaco Oval with general soreness.

Ryan and Paul’s inclusion into the team come in the wake of Brock O’Brien and Andrew Browne being ruled out through injury.

Assistant Coach Chris Scott said Fremantle faced an uphill battle against the Power who are coming off a 12 point win over cross town rivals Adelaide.

"Mark Williams was right when he said they were one of the better sides outside of the eight and our view supports that," Chris said.

"They played in the grand final last year so they obviously have some talent, have had a few issues and it just goes to show what a fine line it is from being a contender to being out of the race pretty early on. There are no easy games now and it's always a tough ask at AAMI no matter which side you play."

Bouncedown on Sunday is 12.40pm CST.
