Game Analyst Assistant

The Brisbane Lions A.F.C, arguably the AFL's most successful team and brand over the last decade, is seeking to appoint a talented and dedicated Game Analyst Assistant to become a valued member of their team. Reporting to the Game Analyst, the Game Analyst Assistant role aims to maximise the capability and performance of individuals and the team by providing analysis support to development coaches in the form of statistical and visual data. Specifically, you will be responsible for:

• Capture and analysis of training and match data for presentation to players and coaches.
• Assisting in the management and storage of data.
• Providing the coaches with technical support.
• Assisting with the planning and operation of team meetings.
• Filming training sessions and matches.
• Set up and management of match day technology.
• Assisting with coding and delivery of data on a match day.

You will be required to assist the Game Analyst for Seniors games, and be the leader for analysis on Reserves games.
The ideal candidate will have previous experience working with technology and computers in a sporting environment. Demonstrable knowledge of AFL (in particular language, players and game plan) is essential whilst tertiary qualifications in Sports Science or IT are preferred. You must have a high level of attention to detail, the ability to work independently as well as part of a team and a proven track record of working in a fast paced high pressure environment. The role requires somebody who can manage their own time effectively in order to meet strict deadlines.
