All players will return on Monday morning for a running session before departing for the Sunshine Coast on Monday afternoon.
Senior Coach Michael Voss said that the camp would be a fantastic way to start the pre-season.
“The thought around starting at Noosa is to be able to get us all together as a group,” Voss said.
“Everyone’s been off for the holidays and had a rest, so it gives us the chance to get time to ourselves and provide information to the players that they’ve probably gotten spasmodically throughout the pre-season in the past.”
Voss said he was pleased with the players’ condition coming back from the off season.
“All indications so far, from the guys I’ve seen in the off season, is that they’re all in great condition,” Voss said.
“So if we can get our focus honed really early, that gives us a good chance to build on what we got out of last year’s pre-season.”
The Lions will undertake a mix of football sessions, team meetings, team-building activities, and community visits during their stay on the Sunshine Coast.
