Michael started his career at Port Adelaide, and finished his career at Port Adelaide. He was part of the original squad to make the transition from SANFL to AFL in 1997 debuting in Round 1, 1997, against Collingwood at the MCG. ‘Wilbur’ played in Port Adelaide’s pre-season premiership side 2001 as well as the Premiership side of 2004, and held the position of vice captain in 2006 and 2007 before his retirement in 2008.
