Fremantle utility Nick Suban has committed to the club through to the end of the 2012 season.

General manager of player management Brad Lloyd said that the 20-year-old, who was contracted through to the end of the 2011 season, had agreed to terms for a one-year extension.

“We are delighted that Nick wanted to commit to the club longer-term whilst still under contract,” Lloyd said.

“He was originally signed until 2011 but has agreed to a contract extension through to the end of the 2012 season. Nick is a young player who is excited about the direction Fremantle is taking and wants to be a part of it in the longer-term.”

Suban, who along with fellow 2009 debutant Stephen Hill, played all 22 games last year, was Fremantle’s second round selection (pick 24 overall) in the 2008 NAB National Draft.
