The North Melbourne Football Club is pleased to announce its partnership with FIT Health Insurance, a new type of health insurance specifically designed for active people who play sport.

FIT has been developed in partnership with the North Melbourne Football Club as well as the AFL, the AFL Medical Officers’ Association (AFLMOA), Netball Australia, Kinect Australia and other leading medical and sporting bodies.

The club’s relationship with FIT offers fantastic opportunities such as immediate benefits to North Melbourne Football Club members with money from each policy sold going directly to the club.

In particular, FIT is offering North Melbourne Football Club members their entire membership for free (to the value of $200) when they sign up to FIT.

“Our partner organisations have a vast pool of sport and fitness information which we are able to pass onto our members, who are mostly fitness and sporting enthusiasts,” General Manager of FIT Health Insurance James Arnott said.

“FIT provides its members with access to some of the best doctors, dieticians, fitness and conditioning coaches, physiotherapists, exercise physiologists and sports scientists in the country,” he said.

North Melbourne Football Club Doctor Dan Bates said there is a wealth of expertise and information within the elite sporting arena and FIT is helping share that information not only with North Melbourne members, but all sport and fitness enthusiasts.

“Specific treatments are available to help sport and fitness people prevent injury as well as help them with a quicker recovery if they do get injured,” Bates said.

These tools are all available to FIT members on the FIT Health Insurance website.

Mr Arnott also said that as well as providing access to the best medical treatment, FIT is also putting significant dollars back into the hands of grassroots football clubs designed to support the health and wellbeing of community footballers in Australia.
