CHIEF EXECUTIVE OFFICER
A unique opportunity exists for a commercial and customer focused individual to lead the Glenelg Football Club. As the Chief Executive, reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will lead and effectively manage the Club’s business activities, encompassing strategy development and implementation and operational activities including event delivery and development of licensed club and football related revenue streams.
Your primary role will be to manage the Glenelg Footballers’ Club, the licensed arm of the Club (including Gaming) and ensure that both clubs continue financial viability whilst operating under strict legal and constitutional boundaries.
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Previous management experience in the hospitality industry is essential
- Proven experience in leading a multiple stakeholder environment
- Proven ability to establish links with the community and ensure engagement of the community in Club activities
- Strong commercial acumen and a successful track record of leading people
- Experience in budget development and management and reporting to committees and/or Boards
- An understanding of sporting clubs and an appreciation of the football industry together with tertiary qualifications in a business related discipline is desirable
