What present do you want this year for your birthday? – Erin from Narre Warren, Vic

Ash: Nothing at the moment Erin, I just had my birthday last month. I was quite happy with what I got, although winning games is like having a birthday and it was a good one last weekend.

Hey Ash. Do you read the newspapers and how much notice do you take of them? – Anita from Perth, WA

Ash: Not really. I always skim the sports pages, although there’s a lot more rugby league to read about up here. I don’t read too much into anything that is written about us.

Have you ever been reported and if yes, what for? – Tristen from Reservoir, Vic

Ash: No mate, never been reported and don’t want to be. If I could go throughout my career without being booked, that would be nice.

How can I get the players autographs ? I live in Western Australia and would love to have the autographs? – Becky from Waikiki, WA

Ash: The best advice I can give you Becky is to try and get along to the airport when we arrive or depart Perth, or get along to our training session, which is usually at Subi a day before the game. The club gets a million requests for team-signed things and we could spend 24 hours a day, seven days a week signing things and still not get everybody done. So if you can come to us, that would be the best way of doing it. Unfortunately we don’t come back to Perth this year, so maybe next year.

Would I be able to go down into the locker room when you play in Melbourne? – Stephen from Craigieburn, Vic

Ash: Hi Stephen. Mate, we’d like to open up the rooms to all our fans, but I reckon it would be a bit of a jam. Match day’s actually a really serious business, and basically no-one comes in before the game and only family afterwards – and that is quite a while afterwards. That’s why we have a number of family days and other functions for our supporters during the year, so we can catch up in a more relaxed environment.
