The Shell Cats Heroes Series takes place on Thursday 1 May, 2008 at Skilled Stadium with around 180 primary school students from the northern suburbs of Geelong.

The participating schools are Rollins Primary School, Bell Park North Primary, Nelson Park Primary, Norlane West Primary, North Shore Primary, St Anthony's Primary, Lara Primary, Lara Lake Primary, Corio Primary, Holy Family Primary, Rosewall Primary, Corio West Primary and Corio South Primary.

The program gives students the unique opportunity to meet their Geelong Cats Heroes, as well as learning about healthy eating and exercise, while experiencing an exclusive behind-the-scenes tour of the clubs facilities.

The aim of Shell Cats Heroes Series is to make learning fun, therefore participants will be given the opportunity to observe first hand what Mark Blake eats the day before a game, whether they can run as fast as Shannon Byrnes or whether they can jump as high as Gary Ablett.

Shell has enjoyed a long association with Geelong and the Shell Cats Heroes Series allows them to spread positive messages to local primary school students. Geelong Cats and Shell hope that participants leave here with an understanding of the similarities between lessons learned within a football club and lessons learned at school.
