THE Port Adelaide Football Club headed out to Adelaide’s northern suburbs on Tuesday (March 2) as part of the club’s ongoing partnership with the northern community.

Power players visited 15 schools in the City of Playford area before heading out to the Elizabeth Football Club to deliver an AUSKICK clinic.

The day saw the Power engage with close to 4,000 kids through the school visits and AUSKICK clinic alone.

Power star Danyle Pearce said the players loved getting out into the community.

“Getting out and targeting the northern area was fantastic” Pearce said.

“There are lots of Power supporters out in this area, but most of all seeing the kids in our guernsey was a real buzz and was great seeing so many getting involved”.

The day ended with kids having the chance to meet and greet their heroes. Each participant received Planet Teal giveaways, autographs and posed for photos.

“It’s fair to say the Northern Blitz was a success and we look forward heading out here again sometime soon” Pearce said.
