Carlton’s first round NAB Cup match against Sydney at Blacktown on Saturday February 20th has been sold out. The AFL confirmed today the match was a sell out with all available tickets have being purchased more than a week prior to the game.

It will be the first senior AFL match at the new facility that will be the home for new AFL Team GWS. Combined with this match being Carlton’s only visit to Sydney for the 2010 season has made this a very popular match with local supporters of both teams.

For Carlton the result in Sydney will determine who and where the Blues play the following week:

A win against Sydney will see Carlton advance to round two of the NAB Cup and a Saturday night clash against either Collingwood or St Kilda at Etihad Stadium on February 27th. (Opponent will be the winner of the Collingwood v St Kilda round one NAB Cup match).

A loss to Sydney and Carlton will play in the NAB Challenge series and will play either Brisbane or Western Bulldogs at Visy Park on Friday February 26th. (Opponent would be the loser of the Brisbane v Western Bulldogs round one NAB Cup match).
