Box Hill kicked the first goal of the game thanks to a Brad Neil snap around the corner after only 35 seconds of the ball being bounced - unfortunately it was the only goal Box Hill kicked until the beginning of the second term.
The game was open and free flowing in the first with both sides having chances early but neither was able to put on any scoreboard pressure.
It was during the middle stages of the first term when Williamstown kicked three quick goals in five minutes where they started to gain their ascendancy over Box Hill.
The Seagulls were winning clearances, running in numbers and were willing to go in and win the hard ball while Box Hill players were standing back watching Williamstown get the footy.
Box Hill didn’t seem to want to work hard which only became more evident as the game progressed.
When Box Hill did venture forward, the Seagulls’ ability to rebound from their defense and turn it into attack was a big reason they were so dominant.
After a disappointing display by Box Hill, the players have a big week on the training track as they will face the undefeated Port Melbourne at their fortress, TEAC Oval next Saturday.
